Seven Ways To Create Deep Attraction Using Conversation

By Christine Akiteng It has been said that awareness is that time between naps. Many unsuspecting people are exposed to communication and seduction techniques that are clearly structured in the exact same way hypnotists use to put people to sleep. Too often when people speak to one another, all they’re doing is downloading information onto each other. It is easy to talk to someone for hours and hours without entering into a genuine relationship with him or her. Worse, they’re often doing it as just the facts Maam/Sir - feeling pressured to find out what we have in common before we waste more time. This tendency to simply exchange stats stops conversation rather than keeps it going. A conversation is more than an information exchange; to converse, you have to make a conscious effort to connect human-to-human, individual to individual, man to woman. If you’re looking for something deeper and more involved, these suggestions will improve you ability to really connect with the opposite sex: 1. Avoid offering solutions (including giving advice or sympathy) When people open up to share their true emotions and desires they are not doing it because they want to be told what to do about a problem. Sometimes, its best to just ask more questions, using their own experience and let them talk. Sometimes all people want is to be heard. 2. Acknowledge the other persons feelings, experience or comment before sharing a similar experience or making a contribution of your own. It’s reassuring to the other person and creates a sense of solidarity or closeness. 3. Be involved, animated and excited Avoid wearing one single look and using one monotonous voice to bore the other person into tears, all in the name of conversation. To be interesting and unpredictable, use facial expressions to create moods, vary your voice to create different characters etc. 4. Use suggestive spaces - Don’t talk too much and at greater length leaving the other person feeling that he or she did not have the opportunity to speak. If you say something, it must be a prod for the other person to join in. The best use of suggestive spaces is in call-and response conversation where you use humour, puzzles and phrases that draw in the other person to participate. 5. Tell stories that are deeply meaningful to you - Most people try to tell stories that are supposedly funny just to entertain the other person; this is good but not enough. Stories that are from your heart (funny or not) are more likely to create a heart-to-heart-connection. When you tell your story make it in the present tense. The present tense puts the listener inside the story. It implies that the story does not belong to you alone, but to you and the person listeningyou are experiencing it together. 6. Engage in witty repartee Use the surprise element or shock effect to create pleasurable anticipation (not uneasiness); use his or her own words or phrases, twist and turn them around, and pretend to misinterpret and misconstrue what he or she is saying but make sure he or she knows you are just being playful and not hurtful. 7. Accept disruptions and encourage disagreement Take more interest in understanding where he or she is coming from rather than trying to achieve agreement or to change his or her mind . People feel closer to you when they feel listened to and treated well. By simply changing how you engage in conversation, you can dramatically change the chemistry. Switching Credit Cards For A Better Deal

By Joseph Kenny You may think that a credit card is for life but with the level of hot competition among credit card providers these days it has never been easier for people switching credit cards to get a better deal than the one they currently have! So, if your credit card provider is not offering you the best current market conditions, the time may have come for you to consider a switch. Essentially there are two ways in which you can move your current credit card balance to a new card provider: * you get an offer (usually in the post) to move your current balance to a new provider offering better terms and conditions than what you currently have; * you make an application to a new provider and in your application you inform the new provider that you intend to move a balance over from your previous provider. Either way, once your new card has been approved, you simply switch over the balance of the old card to the new card and then cancel the old card. In fact it could not be made easier for you to move your balance as the new card application form will likely have a space for you to fill in your current details and your new card provider will then arrange for the balance to be transferred once your new card has been approved! Keep in mind that card providers today like the idea of customers moving over existing balances that are earning them interest income and competition is fierce to get people to move over to their card, so make sure when your are considering switching your credit card provider that you get: * a better APR deal than you currently have; * a better rewards system than you currently have; * if possible, no membership or annual fees. Also, if you dont want to, you dont actually have to close an account just because you have moved the balance to a new card. Consequently, if you have two credit cards and one of these credit card provider is offering a lower APR than the other, but the other is offering a better rewards system, you can keep both cards active and every now and then you can arrange to have the balance of your more expensive APR-charging card switched to your less expensive APR card. That way you can enjoy the best of both worlds! Joe Kenny writes for CardGuide.co.uk, offering the latest information on credit cards, visit them today for more best buy credit cards. School Fundraiser Tips

By Rebecca Zaiden Planning a school fundraiser takes more thought than people think. You have to see when, where, and how you will have your fundraiser. Also, you have to see who is going to keep track of orders (if you are doing catalog orders), who will be in charge of the money, who will distribute the orders, etc. Perhaps the most important part of picking and planning a fundraiser is picking the best one for you! The most important thing to remember is to keep in mind the age and capabilities of the people who will be conducting the fund raiser! Here is a list of important things to remember when planning a school fundraiser. Pick a fundraiser that the students of your school will be able to manage easily according to their age. Before you even agree to have the fundraiser, make sure you have enough people to help you before, during, and after the event in order for everything to go as smooth as possible. Make sure that you do a lot of research on the company you will be using for the fundraiser. The best thing is to get a recommendation from a fellow teacher, parent, friend, or from me! You want to make sure you are dealing with a legitimate business. Have a contact number ready for the fundraiser company you choose at all times! That way you can call them if any questions or concerns come up. Try to make the fundraiser as organized as possible. Make sure all the students are fully aware of when the event starts, when it ends, who to turn in the orders, money, etc to. Make sure you have enough time to properly advertise the event you will be having. My name is Rebecca Zaiden and I am a mother and a college student with many years and experiences with school fundraisers! Don’t Take Your Net For Granted

By Trevor Kugler Many anglers tend to not think about their net. Their net is either attached to the back of their fishing vest or it’s just laying somewhere in the bttom of their boat. Now I realize that nets can last for years and sometimes don’t even get used that much, but I’m just reminding you to take a little time to make sure that your nets are in good condition before you next fishing trip. Your net can easily be the difference between landing a big fish and watching that same fish swim away. I used to have a net that hung from the back of my fishing vest and was constantly getting hung up on brush while I walked through the woods along my favorite trout fishing river. The net getting stuck was such a common occurrence that I began to not even give it a second thought. Then one day I went to use it on a nice twenty-inch rainbow, and when I netted the fish the fish went right through a hole that was in my net. I don’t know if you’ve ever had this happen, but I think it’s the definition of a clusterf&%#! Fishing line wrapped around what seems to be everything, screaming, pulling the fish in hand over hand, it’s an absolute mess. After this fiasco had finished, I went over to the shore, took my vest off, and removed the old net. I figured that I’d be better off without it. Then a couple of weeks later I hooked into a very large trout, and at that point realized that I didn’t have a net to help land the fish. Until that point I hadn’t thought about my net since the clusterf&%#. I obviously don’t use my net unless I’m dealing with a big fish. In any case, once I got my large trout close to the shore, I realized how difficult landing the trout was going to be. After getting the trout close to me a couple of times and having it peel off line away from me, I realized that I was in trouble. Then on the third or fourth go around of getting close to me, the trout had obviously had enough, because it shook it’s head twice, buried it’s nose into the rocks, took off like a shot, and broke my line. I realized later that the only way I could have landed that trout on four pound test was if I had a net The bottom line is that you need to check your nets periodically to make sure they’re in working order. And if you have one that annoys you, replace it rather than just chucking it. I just don’t want you to go through the experience of losing a trophy, as I did. It’s no fun at all. The Catholic Obsession with Martyrs and the Question of Pain and Suffering

By Eric Engel The Catholic Church is kind of like a forest sometimes. Someone on the outside looking in sees nothing but thousands of treesand most of them look alike. They can see a definite shape to the forest, and elevations that someone inside might miss. On the other hand, theyll never see up-close nature like the plants and animals inside. They can hear about them, but never live through the experience. So when Christian brothers and sisters see the Catholic Churchs strange fascination with martyrdom, they might find it morbidor even alarming. Every church talks about and honors their martyrs, but Catholics seem to go overboard. We read and write book after book on it. Like a nature photographer, we show pictures and try to help other Christians connect with this Catholic mind set. No, they wont truly understand until theyre inside, but they might get a glimpse of some of the logic behind the allure that draws Catholics to study the dead saints. Why We Study Martyrs When Jesus told Peter that He who lives by the sword shall die by the sword, theres something he didnt say, but is equally as true. He didnt have to say ithe showed us in the chilling climax of his life. That truth is, He who lives by the cross, dies by the cross. Think about it long and hard enough, and its discouraging to anyone trying to lead a Christian life. But to a Catholic, it can be comforting. We feel the daily pains of health, financial, or even marital problems, and start to loose focus on our purpose in life. And life without purpose isnt life at all. Its deathdeath without purpose. So to find meaning in life, we look for meaning in death. And we see dying for ones faith as a purpose. Meaning in Pain and Suffering But living for ones faith is a whole different story. It means a new act of perseverance every time we feel the temptation to despair. It means constant vigilance against a desire that might weigh on us at every moment of every day. Throughout the distractions (or even the monotonous drag of daily work schedules) we need something to focus on. We need to know that this is all going somewhere. We want reassurance (just as Jesus did in the Garden of Gethsemane) that our dismal or even painful existence leads to a greater good. And so we turn to the martyrs, because as morbid as their deaths were, it was their lives that made them great. In their lives we find connection. We see that the pain leads to a definite end. We might not like the details, but the glory of giving ourselves to God in death shows us the glory of giving ourselves to God in life. And this leads to fulfillment when we try to justify our suffering. Make Your Own Perfume: Creativity and Inspiration

By Daphne Moss Fragrances want to be created. The ability to capture a mood, a personality, a tiny eon of time in a small bottle of liquid is not only gratifying…it is magic. But when we think of a fragrance wanting to be created it is not about making something up. It’s about capturing something already there. “Whenever I strive to “think something up”, writing becomes something I must ’stretch” to achieve. It becomes loftier than I am, perhaps even something so lofty it is beyond my grasp.” Whenever on the other hand, I am focused about just getting something down, I have a sense of attention, but not a sense of strain.” (The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron) (Why am I quoting a writing book? >>) When you think about the great works of art of any form (writing, painting, sculpting) most times the artist has set about trying to communicate something, a message, a story, a memory, a feeling. It was not just about making something up. And so it is too with creating perfume. Creativity is about capturing something, putting it down for the world to experience it too. Your last vacation? What was it like? What did it smell like? Do you even remember? If you had to create a perfume called “New York”, what scents would you try to communicate? You could go in one direction and blend a perfume reminiscent of garbage, car exhaust and the industrial smell of the subway train. But you could also Capture the essence of the flower stand in Soho, or the incense burning in the air at the Harlem street market. You get the idea. This sudden sense of direction can make creating an adventure to both your nose and your imagination. That handsome man that you run into every morning at Starbucks, how can you capture HIM in a bottle? Hair Vitamin Reviews

By Kent Pinkerton If you look hard enough, you will find a number of different vitamins for hair that lay claim to all sorts of benefits, from thickening of hair to revitalizing its color. Usually included with these vitamins are customer reviews, each one stating in glowing terms how wonderfully the product worked for them. But do these miracle products actually do what they claim? Here is a look at hair vitamin reviews and their use. The skinny on hair vitamin reviews Contrary to popular belief, not all hair product reviews are hot air and smoke being blown in your face by the manufacturers who just want you to buy their products. Some of them are actually written by people who have used the product. One can not be too cynical about such things. On the other hand, not all of the hair product reviews are published in an advertisement. So it is entirely possible that there are just as many people who have had negative experience with the product as those who have had a positive experience with it. The consumers will never know the exact number of people who liked and disliked the product simply because the reviews are filtered out by the manufacturers. What the reviews are for You will never know if a hair vitamin product actually works unless you try it that is why product reviews are very important. Potential consumers are encouraged to buy the product when they see how it has helped so many people. But take product reviews with a grain of salt. The best product reviews will tell you what to expect when you use that product. Specific time frames for expectation of results and details regarding effects all help to make you a better informed consumer. However, if you are unsure about a hair vitamin product, consult with a physician first before purchasing it. The Way Of A Bass Fisherman With a Fly Rod And The Way Of A Bass With A Fly

By Donald Berthiaume —–SIDEBAR—————————————— Older fly fishing classics contain a wealth of knowledge for the beginner fly fisher as well as the experienced angler. The following is an excerpt from Practical Fly Fishing, by Larry St. John (1920) —–END SIDEBAR———————————- WADING A STREAM Ideal Fishing The ideal way to fish a bass stream, if its depth and bottom will permit, is to wade. Some one has said that Art is the beautiful way of doing things. Certainly then, wading the stream is the artist’s way of fishing for Micropterus. It has all the charm of trout fishing and all of its thrills and seldom is so lonesome since many of our bass streams are in settled districts. One often fishes a stream and is never out of hearing of the cowbells and the barking of friendly farm dogs but is in the wilderness nevertheless. When the angler wades he becomes a part of the stream and its life and the more he fishes a fine stretch of water the friendlier it becomes. Bass and Flies One reason I believe bass fly fishermen are not as generally successful as their trout fishing brethren is because the bass fisher, as a class, has not put as much study into his waters and his methods. This is not to be wondered at when you consider that fly fishing for bass is, compared with trouting, in its first tooth stage. In other words, if some anglers loudly proclaim that the east wind bloweth when they are bassing with flies it is due, not to the bass but to the angler. True one seldom gets the big, old, granddaddy bass of ‘em all on a fly, neither do the bigger trout come to the net by the same route, but the average of the stream or lake can be caught on flies and are on certain waters. Is it entirely because of certain local peculiarities of fish, water or conditions that fly fishing for bass is practiced so successfully on such widely separated waters as, to mention a few: the upper Mississippi and Illinois rivers in the Middle West; the Susquehanna, Potomac and Delaware in the East; the Current and St. Francis in the Ozarks; the Belgrade Lakes in Maine? I think not. Bass fly fishing has long been practiced and studied in these places, hence the success. Aside from its beauty and charm wading a stream makes for success. In the first place a stream that is of wadable depth is ideal for fly fishing and the angler, moving slowly and quietly, with only a portion of his body above water is, as old Dennys put it, less likely to “offend the fearful Fish’s eye.” Seasons, Weather, Etc. As a general rule the trout fisher can go a-fishing earlier with his flies than the angler who fishes for bass in northern North America. A great many of our good bass streams are in civilized territory and the Spring rains, plus the drainage of farm lands, usually roils the water. If one must have bass then most success will be had if he will dangle an angle, baited with worm, helgramite or craw, in the deep holes. As the season advances fly fishing improves but June usually finds the bass busy with family affairs and they should not be bothered even if the law permits. July is usually a good month on all streams and on the larger ones this month and August often produce best of all - and just when the lakes are yielding least. Very low water, however, often drives the fish into the holes on small streams during the ” dog days.” September, the month Eastern and Midwest trout fishermen close up shop, is usually excellent except the week of the equinoctial storm. October - brown October - also yields well, and the seasons we have “a late Fall” fishing continues good even well into November. Local conditions also must be considered. The ideal fly fishing day is a dark, overcast one, just before a rain, or better still, when it merely suggests or threatens to rain and doesn’t with enough breeze to ruffle the surface of the water. Next best is what the average person would call a “nice day.”- when the sun shines, the sky is blue and friendly and streamside posies and tree tops nod to fitful breeze lets that put a slight ripple on the stream. The best time of the day is undoubtedly the early morning hours, from dawn until eight or nine o’clock and from four in the afternoon until sundown or even until after dark. During cloudy days the noon hours often produce well. However, most of us fish the day through and perhaps it doesn’t add much to the heft of our creels but it adds lightness to our hearts and uplift to our spirits and there is always the anticipation of the luck the evening fishing is going to bring us - unless, perchance, it is the last day and we must quit untimely to catch the 5:15 for home. Then we are out of luck as the fish invariably begin to rise well as the quitting hour approaches -’twas ever thus as the poets say! But never mind: other days are coming and for that matter if the fish become too challenging one can always “miss” a train and send a telegram of explanation later. Such things have happened! In fact, I know bald-headed men who have, choosing love before duty, thus played truant from home and business under these circumstances. Thunder and lightning storms are unpropitious for good fishing but a gentle shower often turns the tide in our favor and sets the fish to rising. The direction of the wind has little to do with the success of a day on a stream as the wind comes from all directions if the river is at all winding. The proverbial east wind may have local influences, in England or on our east coast, but otherwise is not objectionable and the phases of the moon have little to do with fishermen’s luck or the whimsical mood of Micropterus, except that the bass may do their feeding on moonlight nights and be indifferent during the day. In this case the angler, well prepared for mosquitoes and with heavy tackle, can do his fishing after sundown. Tips To Keeping Her Happy

By Nicole Weirich Do you ever wonder why the girl your dating is always pissed off? No, its not that time of the month, and she isnt having a bad hair day. Have you ever stopped to think that maybe its you? Sometimes men can do the stupidest things and dont even realize theyre doing them. Here are some tips to keeping your woman happy all the time: 1. Dont check out other women, or at least not in front of your girlfriend! I cannot stress to you how incredibly annoying it is to watch your guy gawking at someone else. We know you look at other girls, and we know you think they are hot, but we dont want to see or hear about it from you. Keep that behavior for when youre with your friends. This is a surefire way to turn her sweet mood into sour. 2. Tell her she is beautiful, not hot. A woman can hear she is hot from just about anyone, even the dude next to her at the red light, and well it gets old. Make her feel special by telling her how beautiful she looks today, or how pretty she is. Believe me, you will get a much more positive reaction then if you were to say, Baby, youre so hot. 3. Dont play games. Why do guys feel the need to wait three days after theyve gone out with a girl to call her? This is by far the stupidest game ever played. If you like her, then call her, whenever you want. Women hate sitting by the phone wondering if youre going to call. It makes us think you arent interested, so call her the next day, I promise she wont think youre too clingy. 4. Be polite. Remember, you are the man in this relationship, which means you should be the one taking care of her. Dont let her open the door, and dont let her pay for herself. This will certainly put her in a bad mood if she has to. And a bad mood means youre going to be lonely at the end of the night if you know what I mean. Keeping your lady happy isnt that hard. Just follow these simple rules and I promise her mood will be more positive than ever before. And remember this, there are three things she wants you to do: listen, be nice, and give her attention. Getting Started - Pay Close Attention To The Instructions

By Toby Russell Before starting your knitting, you should gather all the materials that you need for the project, and just to give you some pointers here we outline some of the basic actions required by all knitters. Please be aware these are only very simple, quick outlines, to get a more detailed understanding buy a knitting for beginners book or better still watch an instructional video. These just offer pointers towards the key elements you need to know about when you are just getting started. Slip Knot The first thing you have to do is to make a slip knot, heres how to do it: The first thing you have to do is hold the tail of the yarn in your palm and wrap the yarn twice around two of your fingers: the index and the middle finger. You then pull the portion of yarn between your fingers, the one attached to the ball. You place the loop on the needle and you tighten it. This is a slip knot. You should not forget to leave an extra tail before casting on. Casting on The next step is casting on. You wind the tail end around your left thumb and wrap yarn over the left index finger. You now can see that you have a loop on your thumb. You insert the needle there and then behind the loop on your index finger. Take your thumb out of the loop and tighten the stitch. A Knitting Stitch The third major action present in all knitting instructions is the making of a knit stitch. You should now have an empty needle in your hand. Insert the needle from front to back into the first stitch on the left needle. Pull the yarn between the two needles. Catch the yarn with the right needle and pull it through the stitch on the left needle. Slip the stitch off the left needle. Purl Stitch .. The next important step is the making a purl stitch. Keep the empty needle in the right hand. Insert the right needle into the first stitch; wrap the yarn around the right needle and then draw the yarn backwards through the stitch on the left needle. Sometimes knitters think of a purl stitch s the opposite of a knit stitch. These two types of stitches are the most important and also a knit stitch is as important for a purl stitch as the latter is important for the first. Finally . And, lets say you have finished your garment. What do you do? You have to do something, otherwise the garment will unravel. This is a method for making an edge to your garment. After you have finished, you just cast off(binding) and start knitting or purling the first two stitches of the row. Use the left hand needle to pull the first stitch back up over the second stitch and over the tip of the right hand needle. Other Useful Snippits you should not add a new ball of yarn in the middle of the row because there is the possibility that your knot will come undone, or : always try to knit the first stitch and then be sure you decrease or increase before the last stitch on the row. . If you have never knitted in your life or if you want to use new methods you need to follow knitting instructions, try following a family member who knits or as already suggested get a book , video or attend a class. Certainly by reading knitting instructions you’ll find out other interesting facts including the different styles and methods for example there are two major methods of knitting: the English style and the Continental style. In the English style the yarn with which you knit is carried in the right hand and that is why is also called right-hand knitting. The continental style is called the left-hand knitting. . You can get useful advice by reading knitting instructions in books, on the internet, in videos but best of all is to get started & learn by your own mistakes Toby Russell & his information website http://www.knitting4beginners.com aims to offer information for those knitters just starting out.
